When I was six,
Forever was the sky
Inviting me into its depths,
With floating turtles and dragons
That to this day
I swear are real.
And as I got older,
Everlasting was still the sky
But in a different way.
I looked at it and knew
That somewhere below that vast blue
Was where I belonged
But I just didn’t know where.
And now
When I’m seventeen,
Eternity is the moon
Because I know
That you are out there,
Looking at the same cratered star
And it destroys me to know
That I can’t be with you
And yet you are just a moon-wish away.
just something i wrote - im not even sure if it makes sense - any feedback [good/bad] would be wonderful - thanks :)

Karma
Hair that hasn't seen a shower
Since the Tuesday before last,
Shredded shirt and laceless once-white sneakers,
Eyes with one last glimmer of desperation,
Pocket change
Clanging in the bottom of an Folger's can
Is heaven to him.
Heading home from work,
Mercedes Benz,
Leather shoes,
and thoughts of yet another day at the office.
He sees him
Standing there.
A fifty dollar bill
Folded neatly in the chaotic coffee can
In exchange for three words
And eyes with a lttle bit more hope,
'Believe in karma'.

Just Something ... Title?
I try so hard to hold onto,
Each time your chest moves up and down,
Inhale, exhale,
Every “You’re amazing”,
I store it in the back of my mind,
Because when you’re gone,
So many miles away,
I’m going to need it.
Your hands that seem so overwhelming next to mine
Laced with my heart,
Intertwined limbs and spirits,
Your breath on my ear
As you whisper, breathe heavily,
To keep me going,
And I will always keep
These four words in my core,
“You make me complete.”
Each time your chest moves up and down,
Inhale, exhale,
Every “You’re amazing”,
I store it in the back of my mind,
Because when you’re gone,
So many miles away,
I’m going to need it.

To keep me going,
And I will always keep
These four words in my core,
“You make me complete.”
