When I was six,
Forever was the sky
Inviting me into its depths,
With floating turtles and dragons
That to this day
I swear are real.
And as I got older,
Everlasting was still the sky
But in a different way.
I looked at it and knew
That somewhere below that vast blue
Was where I belonged
But I just didn’t know where.
And now
When I’m seventeen,
Eternity is the moon
Because I know
That you are out there,
Looking at the same cratered star
And it destroys me to know
That I can’t be with you
And yet you are just a moon-wish away.
just something i wrote - im not even sure if it makes sense - any feedback [good/bad] would be wonderful - thanks :)

"Eternity is the moon."
Awesome. I love it.
Thank you again for reading my rather lengthy memior.
I love it. for me, anyway, my best writing is written in like ten minutes. But i do agree with "doug" i like "eternity is the moon" and "cratered star". I like the title, its wraps the piece up very well. Gooood Job! :)
I thought this poem had an interesting way of taking form. I love the way you talk about the sky because it is endless and I have thought that same way many of times. I especially like the last stanza because it represents how far away someone is but how in a way they are extremely close. Also something I have thought about.
